A retired child psychologist and author, Dr. Beth Grosshans is an active member of her community. In addition to supporting Planned Parenthood, Dr. Beth Grosshans serves on the advisory board of The Metropolitan Opera.

The Metropolitan Opera, commonly referred to as the Met, enriches the lives of students through educational programs. Impacting nearly 100,000 students and educators nationwide, the Met launched HD Live in Schools in 2007 to share the classical arts in classrooms. The program is used in 30 states and provides teachers with guides that help inform students about the art.

The program offers students and teachers outside of New York complimentary tickets to a local movie theater to view live rehearsal performances by opera professionals. Live video chats with Met Artists and an invitation for school district personnel to attend the annual national training conference in opera are also available to enhance the HD Live in Schools experience.
